Pumpkins!

The boys definitely know that October is Halloween season, which means pumpkins!

 

Here are a series of pictures from pumpkin decorating season.

 

These pumpkins are from the community fall festival that the boys got to decorate by themselves.

In this picture you can see Christopher with his batman pumpkin that he made with Ms. Auri.

 

 

We also made traditional carved pumpkins.  This was the first year the boys actually helped with taking the guts out.

 

 

Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures of the carved pumpkins, but one was with a Superman sign and one was with a Batman sign.

 

Also a first, afterwards, we seasoned and baked the pumpkin seeds which were yummy.  The boys kept asking to plant the seeds to grow our own pumpkins, but we decided to pass on that since we have read pumpkins are fairly aggressive and can spread all over the place.
