After a week of celebrating, the boys' birthday finally arrived. We got the sense that we may have overdone the celebrations this year when after we wished the boys happy birthday, Nathan quickly asked, "Am I 4 now?" Good thing we promised ourselves before kids that we wouldn't spoil them when we have them.
Anyways, since the boys' had school on their birthday, we brought in some special treats to help them celebrate with their classmates. Unfortunately, we didn't rent a giant water slide for the event. Our routine was to drop them off, then return when the class was ready for their mid-morning snack. It was kind of neat because we had a chance to see how their mornings in class go and get a glimpse of their personalities when they are in class. When we arrived, it was time to sit around the rug and listen to the teacher. Nathan came across as the vocal know it all, participating and answering all the questions presented by the teacher. Meanwhile, Christopher sat in the back and kept looking back at us.
As you can see, Christopher was easily distracted.
Time for the class to sing happy birthday!
Ms. Cozart telling everyone that the boys are now 3 years old!
After the teacher was done, it was time for mid-morning snacks. We decided to bring fruit and little blueberry muffins.
After their snack it was time to play.
Our little artist.
Working with chopstix!
Right before the end of the day, it is time to pair up and head out to the playground.
After we were done at school we took the boys for a rest. Then it was time to hit the beach!
At some point, the boys decided it was a good idea to throw sand, so daddy had to show them otherwise.
Nathan hanging with Papa.
Overall, it was a great week and very memorable. The boys have already started planning their birthday party for next year!
