Fun in the sun and other stuff

So this weekend the boys got to spend some time in water and out in the sun. Unfortunately, the weather didn't want to cooperate, so the amount of time they did get to spend out there was a bit limited, which may have been a good thing. Anyways, here are some pictures.

On Saturday, they got to spend some pool time with their friends Noah, Jack and Ansley.

Five babies in a pool...and no baby ruths!

Nathan is trying to decide if the water is really warm enough to get in (the temperature of the water was 82 degrees thanks to the rain).

It didn't keep Christopher from having a good time though.

As the only girl hanging out with 4 boys, Ansley was clearly the princess.

Jack was the fish of the five and really enjoyed the swimming.

Noah wasn't too far behind though.

So after spending the day at the pool on Saturday, our friends Lisa and John invited us down to their condo in Crescent Beach on Sunday. This was the boys' first trip to the beach, so we were curious to see how they would respond. They did pretty well, or at least well enough for us to consider taking them back.

For some reason though, they loved eating sand.

I think afterwards, Christopher decided it was a bad idea.

The trip on Sunday worked out really well. After a little bit of time on the beach, we went to the pool and we got inside for lunch just in time as the rain started. All in all, the perfect first trip for the boys to the beach.

Now, as for the other stuff, on Tuesday we found out the trash pickup company ran over our mailbox. Since we knew it would take some time for the new mailbox to get come in, Robin aka MacGyver decided to create a temporary solution. Below is a picture of her creation. Hopefully, it doesn't violate some federal law to make a makeshift mailbox, while waiting for the permanent fix.

The picture below is a little older, but now instead of putting them in strollers, we have started taking the boys to the store and putting them in the grocery cart. This seems to work better since Nathan is able to look at us while we shop, which leads to a much more pleasant shopping experience.

Finally, a few weeks ago, we decided to switch the boys from the infant car seats to the more permanent version, since they were starting to get cramped in their old seats. They are still rear facing for another 3 months, but they are already close to 20lbs, so once they turn one, we can turn the seats around and have the boys forward facing.
