First Easter

So the boys just experienced their first Easter this weekend and it was a great experience since their grandparents from Kansas came to visit and their Uncle Brian and Aunt Amber were in town as well.

The grandparents arrived Thursday night and Friday night we got a babysitter for the boys and went out to dinner for adults night! It was the first time in a while since we've been able to go out and the boys appeared to cooperate for their new babysitter, Brittiany, and slept the entire night while mom and dad were out at dinner. Of course, mom and dad still worried a little and called a couple of times just to make sure the boys were doing ok.

Saturday, the boys were on the go and went by their weekly stop at Whole Foods then stopped for lunch at Barbara Jeans. The boys seem to be doing well eating out now, especially if mom and dad makes sure to bring their food too and feed them. It was such a nice day out that afterwards, the boys got to go "swimming" for the first time when we brought them over to Brian and Amber's house. Nathan wasn't as keen to the experience but Christopher seemed to have a good time. The water was still a little cool, so they didn't get to experience the water for too long. When it warms up, we plan on bringing them by again. Especially since we have now purchased diapers for the pool. Not sure what it does different than regular diapers. Our theory is that it doesn't absorb as well, in which case, what's the point?! Hopefully, Brian and Amber don't find a "baby ruth" in the swimming pool after the boys are done swimming.

On Easter Sunday, the boys went to their favorite restaurant, Blackstone Grille, for an Easter Brunch Buffet. For those who don't know, Blackstone Grille is of course the restaurant located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Racetrack Road and State Road 13 (had to get that plug in) and is owned and operated by their Ye Ye and Nai Nai (Chinese grandparents). Again, it was such a nice day and we were sitting outside that we ended up sitting around for nearly 3 hours. It was also great since the boys' nanny, Valerie and her family were able to join us.

Needless to say, the boys were exhausted after the weekend's activities.

Also, another "first" is the first tooth has come in for Nathan and we are fairly certain that Christopher's first tooth isn't far behind. We suspect the teeth coming in have had something to do with the boys waking up in the middle night the last couple of weeks. Either that or we have already spoiled the guys and they know that either mom and dad will come by and pick them up and hold them for a little bit if they cry long enough. Every time Nathan gets one of us to pick him up, he has this victorious look and grins ear to ear.

We have been a bit slack in taking pictures lately, but promise we will work on it and get more posted soon. The picture below was taken the week before Easter. We were eating brunch at Blackstone Grille when we spotted the Easter bunny from a distance at the Peterbrook Chocolate store. We decided to take a look and they had it all set up in the store to take pictures. It was a great marketing ploy on their part since we left the store with two boxes of chocolate, which is two more than we would have bought had we not spotted the Easter bunny. We also found out that Santa visits Peterbooke so instead of going to the mall for Christmas, we may just visit Peterbrooke instead.

As you may be able to tell from the picture, Nathan was not too impressed with the experience.
