Disney Cruise 2012 Part I

This November we took the boys on their first cruise aboard the Disney Dream.  We went on a four night cruise with stops to Nassau, Bahamas and Disney's Castaway Cay (a private Disney island).

First step in the process was to find our room, then explore the ship.

When it was time to leave, we watched as we put the shore behind us.

 

After that, it was time to get down to the fun.  Some of the things we did?

 

Well, the boys discovered putt putt golf and loved it.

 

As you we see later, Christopher found these sandals on the course and loved standing on them.

Played a little basketball...those lessons at school look like they are paying off!

 

The boys also learned how to play shuffle board...albeit with some different rules.

 

Of course we had to enjoy the water amenities!

 

This slide was probably one of the most popular features on the cruise for the boys.

 

 

 

 

 


The boys learned that if they were cold from swimming or playing on the slide, a good way to warm up was to check out hot tub.

Of course Nathan decides to treat it like a swimming pool.

Unfortunately one the rides the boys couldn't enjoy was the water coaster known as the AquaDuck because they didn't meet the minimum height requirement of 42 inches.  I guess it will be a good excuse to go back in a couple of years.

 

The AquaDuck was like a lazy river on steroids in a tube that looped around the top of the cruise ship.
