Li's Dynamic Duo: Disney Cruise 2012 Part II

So in Part I, we started writing about and posted pictures of some of the things we did while on our Disney cruise. In an effort to limit the length of each post, we broke it up into three parts. This is part 2 of 3 and a continuation of what we did while on the cruise.

First are pictures from Castaway Cay. Unfortunately, that was the day Nathan didn't feel too well so there aren't any pictures of him.

Here is a picture of the waterslide at Castaway Cay. The water was cold and deep. Christopher was excited about trying this slide out, but after one time down into the deep cold water, it was enough. It probably didn't help the fact that he expected Will to wait at the bottom for him, but Will had to swim a little bit away since the water was too deep to stand. After he splashed into the water, Will had to swim back to drag him to land. Fortunately, Christopher had a vest on though so he was floating the entire time.

This bucket fills with water and dumps every few minutes on unsuspecting victims below. Christopher enjoyed watching this while we waited our turn on the slide.

Despite a less than pleasant experience on the Castaway Cay water slide, Christopher was still all smiles as we made our way back to the ship.

As you would imagine on a Disney cruise, lots of opportunities to take pictures with characters. For some reason though the boys were really only interested in meeting Mickey Mouse and Jack Sparrow even though every day they asked for a run down of the characters that they could meet.

This picture was from an evening when Christopher opted to go back to the room early so Nathan got a one on one visit with Mickey.

Not sure what is going on here, but it almost seems like Christopher is fighting with Chip (or Dale).

Christopher was super excited to meet Pluto at random, but didn't want to bother to wait in line on another occassion to meet him.

I guess this counts as a picture with Donald Duck?!

Also, a big part of any cruise experience is going to the shows. Nathan loved the broadway musical type shows that Disney produced. Christopher on the other hand wasn't as interested. Christopher fell asleep before the start of the show the first night and asked to skip the second and fourth nights. However, Christopher did enjoy the one night when there was a juggling/comedic performer.

Nathan started off using Robin's sweater as a cape while waiting for the show to start, but quickly turned it into a bonnet.

This was actually during a show at the kids camp they have on the ship...it is the one and only picture I was able to take before they asked me to stop since they were in the middle of a show. Oops.
