Halloween!

So after weeks of anticipation, Halloween finally arrived and the boys were able to wear their costumes.  Here is a picture diary of their day.

To start the day the boys had school where they had a costume parade.  However, the school requested that there not be any masks, so in lieu of their planned costumes, the boys went with a backup costume for school...pirates!

The boys with their good friend Caroline to make the three pirateers!

The parade made its way around the school.  Nathan really got into it and waved to the crowds...Christopher on the other hand, decided to be "too cool."

Afterwards, their class sat down for a group picture.

Naturally the three pirateers stay together through the entire event.

After group pictures, they changed into regular clothes, had school, then ended the day with a party!

After school, daddy picked them up and they got to change into their planned costumes...Batman and Robin!  Who would have thought 5 years ago when we started this blog and called them the dynamic duo that it would one day be such an accurate description!

Our first visit after school was to see Ms. Valerie.

Second visit was to Yeye and Nainai for lunch.

Since even Superheroes have to eat!

After lunch the boys went home and worked on pumpkin carvings.

They may have peaked too early though and had to take a nap after changing into their costumes.

Fortunately, the boys recharged and were ready for a night of trick or treating.  Here they are posing for the pre-trick or treat pictures.  Once again, Nathan really got into whereas it took Christopher a little bit of time to warm up to pictures.

The Dynamic Duo are ready to go!

Time to go!

Along the way that evening, whenever Christopher or "Batman" saw a villain, he would actually try to confront him!  Fortunately for us, the villains played along and our super hero was able to go on his way without any real damage.

At this particular stop, a group of neighbors combined houses in a cul de sac and set up a long table to hand out candy from multiple houses.  It was funny though since they also had snacks for the adults manning the table, so they had some vegetables sitting out.  Naturally Nathan decides he wants to grab a celery stick for his Halloween bag.

Riding in style once they got tired.

Definitely had a great night of trick or treating!
