Cereal anyone?

So the boys have now started a new adventure.....eating cereal!! In my "owner's manual" there is a little checklist that basically gives you an idea when a baby is ready to start cereal. I will not bore you with the details but over the last few weeks, the boys have really been ready to start cereal based on this list. Once we got the approval from the pediatrician we decided it was time to try it out! We waited until Saturday morning just in case we ended up with cereal all over the ceiling, walls, cats...you name it. The boys actually did great!! Christopher decided to have a little melt down right before we started since he has now decided he would rather sit on our laps vs relaxing in his lazy boy (high chair). Once the screaming subsided, he seemed to do very well with the very thin slurry of rice cereal. Nathan spit most of his out but managed to just dribble down his chin vs painting the kitchen. This morning we decided to make the cereal a little thicker and found Nathan really enjoys it! He was really fussing anytime Will was to slow in feeding him. Christopher did not seem as interested this morning but we will keep trying!!

The boys had a very exciting day. They went to a cookout with mom and dad and got to play with the triplets and many many other babies. It is amazing how many of our friends have children around the twins age!! There were also 4 pregnant women there....3 of which are having girls so we keep reminding the boys they will have quite a few beautiful girls to pick from when they are 25 or so and able to date. I did have to laugh a little bit....back in the day when all of our friends would get together, we would talk late into the night and enjoy a few beers/wine. HMMMMMMM....times have changed!! 6:15pm came along and all of us were rushing home since it was bath time and bed time. :-) There was no beer or wine anywhere to be seen. I think we are all to tired for that now! Will says "Actually, we probably all need the beer more than ever now!!" Anyway, the boys were both exhausted by the end of the night so we came home, took a bath to wash off all the germs all the babies passed back and forth through all the strings of drool hanging out of their mouths, and they are now out for the count....hopefully until 7am tomorrow morning. I am not going to hold my breath on that though...they have been getting up around 3am to eat and then waking up again around 5 or 6am. I keep reminding myself that I just have to accept I am done getting a decent night's sleep until the boys are at least 20 years old.
Better get some work done! Have a great week!
Love
Robin, Will, Christopher, and Nathan
