Oh the frustration!!!

So the Dynamic Duo are almost crawling..."almost" is the key word. Both are sitting up perfectly and launching straight into the air and falling flat on their faces. However, each of them respond to this a little different. Nathan tends to fuss just a little and then suck his faithful thumb until it might just pop off. Christopher has decided to be a little more vocal. His face will get beet red and he will scream along with flapping his arms and legs until one of us puts him back in the sitting position. As you can guess, the cycle repeats over and over until it is time for bed. We are almost getting a little more excited to see them crawl just so they will not be as frustrated. The catch to this is that once this goal has been achieved, as you know there will be another goal to achieve. As parents, we have to find a way to help them deal with the frustrations of growing and improving but how in the heck do you reason with a 6 month old? I guess at this point we will keep picking them up and letting them fall until they get tired of eating the carpet fibers and start crawling.

Another change is that they both have decided rolling is a little more fun than they originally thought. Christopher has really mastered rolling and has started to roll towards Ralph, who has learned very quickly these boys have a death grip on hair so he knows when it is time to retreat to higher grounds. The boys also had the opportunity to meet their first dog this weekend....Winston! (Their Uncle Brian and Aunt Amber's Westie Terrier). Both seemed to really like him and only jumped a little when Winston started barking. Such brave little boys! Below are pictures from their visit with Uncle Brian and Aunt Amber and their first meeting with Winston.

Here the boys are eating and Winston appears intent at getting anything the boys drop.

Christopher appears very excited that he now has as much hair as his uncle.

Here is a picture of the boys in their tie dye outfits.

With the summer right around the corner, we decided it was time for the boys to get some hats. We found two for each of them.

Christopher with his beach hat.

Nathan showing off his new hat.

Of course, we also bought each of them a regular ball cap.

Mom with two very sleepy babies in her arms.

Christopher mid change.

Finally, we decided we needed something new to bath the boys since they have started to grow out of their existing bath lounger. We found of course, rubber ducky.

Here is a picture of the boys testing out rubber ducky.

Now rubber duck is in use.

So with this, we bid adieu for now. If this post seems a little disjointed, it is because we are running off of only a few hours sleep last night between storms that work us up and Christopher waking up at 5:30 am. Anyways, thanks for following the blog. We promise to keep posting if people keep reading. :-)
