Day at the Park

Sunday was the last day of our four day weekend and our original plan was to go to the zoo. However, the boys decided to sleep in and that pushed nap time back until about 11:00 am, which meant no zoo. Instead, we decided to take them up to the park in the front of the neighborhood, which they seemed to really enjoy.

We started off on the swings, which they enjoyed the last time we took them, but this time it wasn't such a hit so we took them to the slides instead, which as you can see, was a big hit.

There must be something inherent in all of us that makes us want to climb up the slide the wrong way.

The only negative to the slides was that it was so dry out you can hear the static electricity buildup as they went down. Fortunately, neither got shocked and seemed to enjoy running around in the fort.

The Wild Man in a rare moment of not moving.

Mommy and Nathan getting ready to go down the big slide.

Then the boys noticed the big soccer field by the fort and decided it was time to run around out there instead.

Christopher looks like he is ready for his first soccer game.

Nathan is looking on as well. Of course, it probably would have helped if we actually brought a ball. Note to self for the next trip to the park.

Christopher decides he wants to coach and dons a visor. To us he already looks so much older than his age of 15 months.

Nathan celebrates scoring a goal!!!!!!!!!!

Christopher decides he wants to play goalie. He has some work to do before he is ready to represent the USA in the World Cup.

The outing was a lot of fun and definitely better than the day before when Robin got puked on by both boys. So the next time we go to the park, we are going to bring a ball and some water for the adults and let them run loose again.

Hopefully, the weather will be good when we visit you so Patricia can chasing the boys in the field.
