Howdy Ho!

Below are some pictures of our nursery. As many of you already know, since we are holding off on finding out the gender of the twins, we had to go with something gender neutral. Fortunately, for us, we found a great theme that works for both boys and girls and we decided to go with a Pooh theme.

That's right...you guessed it. We went with the theme of Mr. Hanky the Christmas Pooh!

Well, ok, that was Robin's first choice, but since we couldn't really find any bedding with the Mr. Hanky theme, we went with the Classic Winnie the Pooh theme. Here are some pictures of the nursery.

This is Mr. Pooh Bear who currently sits atop one of the two matching cribs.

This is a circular rug that sits in the middle of the nursery. Looks can be deceiving...it isn't nearly as big as it looks, but it works.

This is what the crib looks like. The nursery furniture was from a local store called Cribs Forever. They gave us a great deal on some great furniture. Unfortunately, they went out of business shortly after we purchased our furniture so we can't refer friends to them anymore. You can see the Classic Pooh design on the comforter. We have a bad feeling though, that the twins may decide they like the Mr. Hanky theme better too and redecorate themselves.

Here is a five drawer dresser. Above it is a Classic Pooh poster that we found at a garage sale for a whopping $10.00. It still has the original price tag on it of $100.00. We quickly realized while shopping at garage sales that we weren't very original going with the Classic Pooh theme...but we were still ok with that since that gave us some great bargains on decorating pieces.

Here is the hutch and dresser that completes the nursery furniture. This was great, because this piece also works as a changing table (which we hear is of use only until the babies start moving), which means that one week after they are home it is still a useful piece of furniture rather than something that simply takes up space.

Hope you enjoyed the tour of the nursery. We'll continue posting more pictures as we take them.

Design for Him and Her - looks like you both will be happy seeing Pooh and a hint of Pooh (au natural)!

Thats what I worry about!!! A little natural pooh in the room compliments of the li dynamic duo! I heard little kids like to finger paint. No one told me this before I found out I was pregnant. :-) Guess I will just watch them like hawks to decrease the chance of developing their artistic side!
