Parents in training

Hello all! As you can see, our little angels have arrived and are healthy and very happy. We have survived the first few days of parenthood adjusting to little sleep and creating a routine. We are becoming masters of changing diapers, burping, monitoring intake and output, etc. It is an absolute blast! Thank goodness we were able to get some pregnancy pictures on Sunday since labor began on the following Monday!

As you can see, the boys look very different so luckily we did not have to paint toenails so we would not get confused on who is who. Nathan looks like a little version of Will and Christopher has taken many of Robin's characteristics. It is just so amazing. They are both love to cuddle and love to eat. Robin, Christopher, and Nathan have already become a great team since they become very good at nursing at the same time which really helps with efficiency. We had a great night last night...feeding occured about every 3 hours so Mom and Dad would get about 2 hours of sleep at a time. Not bad for the second night huh?

Labor only lasted 10 hours and there is only one word any woman preparing for childbirth should know: EPIDURAL!!! It was awesome!! As you know, I am a very inquisitive person so every part of this process was very educational and I asked a billion questions. They were a little shocked when I asked to see the placenta....it was really cool!! Just in case you keep up with People magazine, the answer is No, we did not bring it home and bury it in the back yard or some other spot like Matthew Mcconaughey did with his baby's placenta. In hind site, that would have been a fun thing to report in this blog huh? Of course, as you can guess, Will had some other suggestions in regards to this but we will just leave these suggestions to your imagination. Ok, I digress.....Blame it on sleep deprivation.

Grandma Helen and Granpa Charles (aka Nai Nai and Ye Ye) visited us in the hospital in the evenings and brought great nourishment from Blackstone Grille, which was great since hospital food is, let's just say, a little less than desirable.

Grandma Jeannie and Grandpa Larry (aka Grammy and Pappy---they do not prefer these titles for some strange reason) arrived on Friday and have been not only helping us spoil our little ones like crazy but also helping us out with cooking, cleaning, and yard work and generally spoiling us. They have been awesome. Grandpa Larry is a little hesitant about changing dirty diapers...we will need to work on that but he has mastered the art of feeding the boys bottles since we still have to do some supplementation to help them gain weight faster.

The babies have also been able to meet Aunt Amber and Uncle Brian since the boys were here before the Bills/Jags game. The kids must have heard us talking about the timing of the Jags/Bills game and decided it was time to show up a little early so they could meet their Aunt and Uncle!! Uncle Brian looked a little nervous about holding something so little but he did a great job!

Amber is a natural....she took the challenge and held both boys at once!

We will continue to post more pictures and provide updates between millions of diaper changes, feedings, and kisses.
